Swami Aksharananda was born at Plantation Cornelia,
Ida, West Coast Demerara, Guyana, the same village
where he established the campus of Saraswati Vidya
Niketan (SVN) Hindu High School. Swami Ji has long his-
tory of teaching in Guyana, is a well-known scholar and
has given lectures at at several national and international
conferences, and has officiated at several yajnias focused
on the teachings of Bhagavad Geeta and Upanishads.
